Area
70*110-20*35
7700-700
7000 sq ft

keys*
P-perimeter
A-area
L-length
W-width
————————————
P=2L + 2w
360=2L + 140
L=110
A=L x W
A of back yard=110*70=7700 ft.^2
A of pool=20*35=700 ft^2
(A of back yard) minus (A of Pool)= A of region not including pool
A of region not including pool = 7700-700=7000 ft^2

20 x 35 = 700 (area of the pool)
110 x 70 = 7700 (area of the whole back yard)
7700 - 700 = 7000 (area oof whole backyard - area of pool =’s area of the backyard not including the pool)
answer = 7000

Area of pool = 20 x 35 = 700 ft^2
Perimeter of yard = 2 * (L + W) = 360 = 2 * (L + 70)
360/2 = 2/2 * (L + 70)
180 = L + 70
L + 110 ft
Area of yard = 110 * 70 = 7700 ft^2
Area minus pool = 7700 - 700 = 7000 Ft^2
