Backyard Wedding….but no backyard?
By admin | May 23, 2008
Miss E asked:
I have always dreamed of an outdoor wedding, and I have my heart set on a backyard wedding. One problem...we don't have a backyard that we can use. Our wedding is small around 50 ppl, and I am looking for a B&B or some type of cabin rental..I am really picky because it has to be well maintained and beautiful!
I would like to find something in the Edmonton area or if I can in the mountains ( Canmore, Banff, Jasper) It just depends on what type of rental I can find. Any suggestions would be great!

I would try a travel agent–they would know of the best places in the area.

Why don’t you try Craigslist? You might be able to find something in your area that people can rent to you. Or, you can post what you are looking for. It’s worth a try…

Do a search for B & B in your area. A lot of them have little garden areas especially for weddings. They usually offer some kind of wedding pkgs. too.

you could try baker park in calgary (that is where i got some of my wedding photos done- my cousin is getting married there this summer!) they charge a green fee of $75.00 and that is all!! but if you want to do it there you have to fill out forms from the city and then send them in, it takes like 8 weeks to get a answer.

If Jasper would be one of your options, there are many places there. One of them, just outside the Park gate is Overlander Mountain Lodge. Check out their website below.
