Modifying a fire pit to cook?
By admin | December 15, 2007
Lone Wolf asked:
Or more specifically... I bought a fire pit from a store at the end of season clearance -- the kind of above ground dish on 3 legs. I'm trying to convert it so that I can use it for cooking, but I really want to be able to use this for my SCA events as my above-ground fire and my "cook stove" for during events.
Suggestions are greatly appreciated --- as well as suggestions for disguising the pit itself to make it look more period (in the Kingdom of the West, all fires are outlawed unless they are above ground -- no way around it.)
Thanks to you all!
